Kenya’s BiasharaBot Secures US$50,000 From Leapfrog Ventures

Leapfrog Ventures has made a $50,000 investment into Kenya’s SaaS startup BiasharaBot marking their second investment in Africa after investing in Rwanda’s FinTech startup Exuus.

Founded in 2017 by Moses Kibet and Felix Cheruiyot, BiasharaBot develops a chatbots platform that helps small and medium-sized businesses sell better online.

Their key features include an AI-powered sales process through ChatBots, automated social media posts management services, payment integration, delivery solutions, store order management dashboard, among others.

Accessible via mobile web and desktop, the platform aims to help businesses in handling customer queries and managing their social media accounts all from a single dashboard hence helping small business build engagement and loyalty with their customers.

BiasharaBot plans to use the additional funding to release a plug-in for e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Woo Commerce, and Magento. And increase the number of users to 1,000 stores in the next 3 months before expanding to Nigeria, South Africa and the rest of the Sub-Saharan Africa market in the near future.

This is the second investment BiasharoBot have received this year after securing US$ 50,000 from Pangaea accelerator after a 2-month program.
