EdTech startups in Africa have been invited to apply for The Global EdTech Startup Awards 2019.
The Awards will identify, showcase and recognize the world’s most promising EdTech startups.
GESAwards which is a joint venture by leading EdTech organizations from across the world including MindCET, Open Education Challenge, and EdTech UK among others is the world’s largest EdTech startup competition.
The best startups will get global exposure in the EdTech ecosystem, valuable PR, mentorship, cash prizes and business development opportunities. The competition’s top entrepreneurs will be invited to follow up events and next stage accelerator program.
Interested startups need address a clear educational pain, relevant to the market, provides an innovative pedagogical approach, have outstanding user experience with a sustainable user model and show potential for tremendous growth in their user base.
South Africa based EdTech incubator Injini will host the semi-finals for the shortlisted African startups on 15th of November.
Kenyan EdTech startup M-Shule was shortlisted as a finalist on the Global EdTech Startup Awards (GESA) 2017 and clichéd the first runner up position.
