Get Ready to Attend The Mingle, an Entrepreneur-Networking Event Happening this January

The Mingle, a monthly networking event hosted by MAMA Ventures in collaboration with the Mint Hub is taking place this month. The monthly networking event which acts as a ‘support group’ for entrepreneurs at all stages will be taking place on the 24th January 2017 at the Mint Hub which is located on Karuna Close, off Waiyaki Way Nairobi.

Launched in October 2017 by Wemo Kitawa, the founder of MAMA Ventures, The Mingle is built on the fundamentals of collaborations and strategic partnerships between entrepreneurs in their journey towards building and running a business.

“It is prudent to share and interact with people who have already been through the ropes to pick up a few tips,” says Wemo Kitawa

Through The Mingle, entrepreneurs get to talk about the challenges that they face as they run their businesses and they get to pick a few ideas from other like-minded entrepreneurs who have already gone ahead. The event has evolved not only to attract notable partners like Google Business Groups who offer products and services that would help more businesses grow but the number participants have also grown from 15 entrepreneurs to 204 entrepreneurs, extending to an online group.

Wema Kitawa who runs Mama Ventures, a women-led growth accelerator company that works with businesses to actualize business ideas towards profitability and sustainability is a firm believer in building legacies while plugging into the right networks, something that she learned during her interaction with her clients in Management Consulting.

“How often do we attend networking events and get drained looking for the right people in the sea of people who are also in search of the right networks? How often do we pay for these events to ‘grow the businesses and hardly meet the right people? There is no one to blame in all of this, but we at MAMA feel that it is important to value time and money and maximize the output and impact on both the founder and business,” Wemo highlights.

This event is free and open to all who are interested in collaborating for success with the goal of creating a network that actively participates in finding solutions to the challenges that startups face and leveraging on the right networks and partnerships.

Join The Mingle this month on the 24th of January 2017 at the Mint Hub on Karuna Close at Western Heights from 5 pm.
